The power and influence of Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp has become a point of discussion among politicians during the 2013 general election campaign.

It is often said that News Corp operates 70% of Australia’s newspapers. The figure is disputed and recent checks indicate it is much less. It depends on the parameters used.
